DELETE/api/dns/zones/{zoneId}/records/{recordId}

Delete a DNS record

Deletes a DNS record from a specific zone. Use zoneId and recordId to identify the zone and the record to remove.

2 parameters
zoneIdstringrequired
The unique identifier of the zone containing the DNS record.
recordIdstringrequired
The unique identifier of the DNS record to delete.

6 status codes
200Returns confirmation that the DNS record was deleted successfully.
400Returned when the request is invalid.
401Returned when authentication is required but missing or invalid.
403Returned when access to the DNS record is forbidden.
404Returned when the zone or DNS record cannot be found.
500Returned when an internal server error occurs.

Error handling

A 400 indicates an invalid request; a 401 means authentication is required; a 403 indicates access is forbidden. A 404 is returned when either the zoneId path parameter or the recordId path parameter does not identify an available resource, and a 500 indicates an internal server error.
