NetBird read-only MCP preview

Unofficial Octri preview. Generated from NetBird's public REST OpenAPI 0.0.1 document. Three read tools: listPeers, listGroups, and listSettings for DNS settings. No write, delete, or token-management operation is exposed. NetBird already publishes an official MCP server; this preview demonstrates how Octri maps a narrow OpenAPI contract into a separate read-only MCP surface.

Download and run

Recipients can run Octri's public @octri/mcp package against this project ID. Project owner can also download the generated MCP ZIP from MCP Studio; that owner download is not a public recipient link. Set OCTRI_API_TOKEN to an authorized NetBird token and optionally OCTRI_API_BASE_URL for staging. Use OCTRI_READ_ONLY=1. Server calls NetBird from the user's machine; credentials stay in that process environment.

Tested scope

Downloaded Octri MCP ZIP installed locally. Synthetic HTTP mock verified MCP initialize, tools/list, and four tools/call cases; 3 exposed operation tools were read-only, with 7 documentation tools. Asserted GET paths, filters, bearer header, result parsing, and 401 error. No live NetBird account or network change was used. No automatic spec synchronization tested. Version 0.0.1 is the public spec's label, not a claim about NetBird product release.
